Now more than ever, Florida, America, and the rest of the world are connecting virtually. While over 95% of Floridians have access to high-speed broadband, not everyone is able to connect. That is why Florida internet service providers such as Cox Communications, Charter Communications- Spectrum, and Comcast Xfinity offer qualified low-income households high-speed internet service at around $15 per month. Through programs like these, our members are helping to bridge the digital divide. Florida Chamber of Commerce and Florida Internet and Television members who provide internet connectivity have invested billions of dollars over the past decade in our state’s digital infrastructure, which has demonstrated a 99.9% network resiliency during the Covid-19 crisis. These leading companies are continuing to work tirelessly to further provide robust internet services essential to Florida’s families and our economic prosperity. These connections are significantly more important during these unprecedented times as families adapt to virtual learning, and employees work from home.
