CEO of Central Credit Union of Florida/Tallahassee Leon Credit Union Recognized as League of Southeastern Credit Unions Professional of the Year
ORLANDO, FLORIDA, June 16, 2023 – Last night at the League of Southeastern Credit Unions annual conference and expo, Lisa Brown, President and CEO of Central Credit Union of Florida and Tallahassee Leon Credit Union was recognized as the League’s 2022 Professional of the Year for the state of Florida.
“We are excited to honor Lisa Brown with the Professional of the Year award as she has been instrumental in creating and growing community development initiatives, advancing advocacy efforts, and inspiring change,” announced Patrick La Pine, CEO of LSCU & Affiliates. “Lisa has dedicated her career to supporting credit unions and her local communities, as well as assisting with the development of future credit union leaders. She is most deserving of this honor.”
The Credit Union Professional of the Year Award recognizes credit union professionals at the League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates (LSCU)-affiliated credit unions who deserve recognition for their contributions to advance the credit union movement in their state and/or the nation.
In 2022, Lisa guided Central Credit Union of Florida into an opportunity to be the change needed in the world. Facilitating a successful eight-month merge with Tallahassee-Leon FCU and progressive leadership, Lisa helped CCUFL grow its field of membership to include eight additional counties with three new branches.
“I am grateful for the honor of being recognized by the League of Southeastern Credit Unions as I celebrate my 30th year serving credit union members. My passion for the credit union mission of people helping people has never wavered and I look forward to what the future holds for our movement!” Brown said.
Under Lisa’s leadership, the hard work to support the credit union movement will continue as we continue to provide our members and community the services, education, and support they deserve.
