Florida Chamber Continues to Champion Telehealth Initiatives
Florida is the third largest state in the nation. By 2030, six million new residents will call Florida home. It is imperative that the business community work together to keep costs low and boost the economic prosperity of our state. The Florida Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to getting healthcare coverage right.
Legislation covering a variety of healthcare policies, including telehealth, was heard in the House Health Quality Subcommittee this week. Providing healthcare to those six million new residents our state is expecting will require proactive and innovative policies such as telehealth. The Florida Chamber continues to support the increased use of, and accessibility to, telehealth services in our state.
At the Florida Chamber, our Healthcare Partnership is bringing together job creators, healthcare providers and payers, and industry leaders who are laser-focused on pioneering change that will provide better patient outcomes while lowering costs. Our Healthcare Partnership members are diligently working to provide market-based, public policy solutions that address the rising cost shift of healthcare in Florida.
