Preparing Florida for the future means ensuring our state’s infrastructure is prepared to accommodate future housing demands for a growing population. Many Floridians around the state agree that attainable workforce housing is a critical need to address to ensure our future competitiveness. As we look toward 2030 and beyond, it will be crucial that we strengthen cross-sector collaboration to ensure efficient supply of attainable housing for varying populations—especially families, young professionals, retirees, and essential workers—and to reduce homelessness.
Whether communities are planning for next year or for 2030, it will be crucial that they consider the impact and opportunities provided by technology and new innovations. Communities will need to ensure residents have access to training and jobs, and support coordination of economic development, workforce, infrastructure and connectivity needs. These issues will continue to be crucial to the success of each community and the state of Florida.
