The Florida Chamber of Commerce and the Florida Chamber Foundation continue to grow and today announced the promotion of Aaron Kinnon to Vice President of Investor Relations for the Florida Chamber and Florida Chamber Foundation. In his new role, Aaron will lead Florida Chamber investor services, engagement and growth and will expand the Florida Chamber Foundation team to ensure it continues providing premium engagement opportunities for members as we work to lead Florida to a diverse, competitive, and sustainable economy.
“Part of the Florida Chamber’s strategic plan and growth involves aligning the right people to our mission,” said Florida Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Mark Wilson. “When it comes to uniting business leaders in our effort to make Florida even more competitive, Aaron has the proven ability to get the job done. The Florida Chamber had a near record new membership year and with Aaron’s track record, the Florida Chamber Foundation has sold out an entire year of event sponsorships.”
Job creators of all sizes, representing all regions of Florida and across industries are looking to the Florida Chamber and the Florida Chamber Foundation to help secure Florida’s future and prepare for the 4 million more people who will call Florida home and the 2 million new jobs needed by 2030. The most important aspect of the Florida Chamber’s work is in unifying its members and amplifying their voice, involvement, and engagement in our mission. Aaron plays an integral role overall in enterprise-wide member engagement, bringing together the Florida Chamber and the Florida Chamber Foundation for enterprise growth and continued efforts to move the needle on our Florida 2030 Blueprint.
“The Florida Chamber Foundation’s mission-based work to unify businesses across Florida for a larger purpose is what originally attracted me to the Chamber Foundation,” said Florida Chamber Vice President of Investor Relations Aaron Kinnon. “We’re continuing to expand the Florida Chamber team, and I’m looking forward to taking on a larger role within the enterprise growing membership, building relationships, and mentoring new team members to further the mission.”
Last year in the midst of a Global Pandemic, Florida’s business community united to make 2020 the second-best new revenue year in the Florida Chamber’s 100-year history and is on pace to meet and exceed that goal for 2021. Aaron’s leadership plays a key role in the work of the Florida 2030 Blueprint and meeting our goals.
After serving six years in the U.S. Navy, Aaron began his philanthropic/development career in 1996. He moved to Florida in 2003 taking a position at the Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare Foundation where he served 15 years in various roles – primarily as the Development Director. Aaron joined the Florida Chamber of Commerce team in July 2018 as the Foundation Director of Investor Relations and the Community Development Partnership Director. Over the past three years Aaron has initiated and cultivated relationships with business and community leaders across Florida. His collaborative efforts with Florida Chamber members, volunteers and Florida Chamber colleagues has grown both the Foundation’s Community Development Partnership Council and Board of Trustees with visionary leaders who put the long term over the short term to secure Florida’s future. His leadership has also grown Florida Chamber Foundation Solution Summit sponsorships to highest levels ever as business leaders see the value of investing the Florida Chamber’s work to unite business for good, to build up the next generation of Florida’s workforce and provide an opportunity for all Floridians to prosper. Keeping Florida, Florida takes tools and resources, and Aaron will continue guiding our people and programs to advance our mission.
Aaron, his wife Beth and their four children love calling Florida home, and he looks forward to securing Florida’s future for generations to come.
