Families seeking more options in their children’s education can apply for the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship and the Family Empowerment Scholarship through Step Up For Students. Scholarship amounts average about $7,700 and vary by grade and county.
Eligibility is based on household income. For example, a family of four with an income up to $111,000 annually may be eligible. Dependent children of members of the United States Armed Forces and Florida law enforcement officers may qualify, regardless of household income.

The Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC) and the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO) can assist with private school tuition for students in grades K-12. Or the scholarships can provide $750 to assist with transportation costs for students to attend a public school that is different than the one they are assigned.
Combined this year, the scholarships funded more than 163,000 students in more than 2,000 private schools statewide.
