“The [Florida] Chamber is the foremost organization in driving international trade in the state of Florida.”
– Bob Grammig, Attorney at Holland & Knight and Florida Chamber Regional Board Chair for Tampa Bay
International trade is an essential part of Florida’s economy. Bob Grammig, Attorney at Holland & Knight and Florida Chamber Regional Board Chair for Tampa Bay, joined Alice Ancona, Director of Global Outreach of the Florida Chamber, on the most recent edition of the Florida Chamber’s Bottom Line.
“Partially through the efforts of the [Florida] Chamber, but also due to the leadership of the Governor, we’ve had massive investments in ports and airports and other mechanisms to facilitate international trade,” said Grammig. “All Florida businesses should be cognizant of the ability to take advantage of these investments and for the benefit of their employees and our communities in general.”
At the Florida Chamber, we know companies that engage in international trade are more productive, pay higher wages, grow faster and employ more Floridians. According to Grammig, it’s easy for business to help advance Florida international trade presence.
“One of the best ways I believe companies can take advantage of these benefits it to get involved in activities in with the [Florida] Chamber. The [Florida] Chamber is the foremost organization in driving international trade in the state of Florida. Through the various programs that chamber puts on as well as the resources available from the [Florida] Chamber, companies can significantly improve their international trade situation, once again for the benefit of their employees and for our communities in general.”
The Florida Chamber’s International Days event will take place on February 23 and 24 in Tallahassee and will convene leaders in international trade, who will help provide businesses with a forum to exchange ideas on best practices and most recent developments in international trade in our state.
According to Grammig, this event can make a difference for companies looking for more information on our state’s international efforts:
“Recently, there have been year-over-year significant advances made by the state in the international arena and this is a very good opportunity for companies to be able to learn about those advancements and come up with strategies to take advantage of those advances.”
