2022 in Review: 1,000+ Animals Rescued + Counting!
Like years past, 2022 was busy for SeaWorld Rescue. Experts from all three of our parks mobilized to aid more than 1,000 animals, including a gray whale, bottlenose dolphins, manatees, sea lions, seals, sea turtles, and more. TCC First College in Florida Approved by FDOE as Charter School Authorizer
January 30, 2023 Tallahassee Community College (TCC) has been approved by the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) as the first college in the state of Florida as a charter school authorizer. Polk State collegiate high schools exceed state graduation rate
Polk State College’s three collegiate high schools exceeded the state’s average graduation rate for the 2021-2022 Academic Year, with Chain of Lakes Collegiate celebrating a 100% graduation rate compared to Florida’s 87.3%. Lakeland Collegiate came in at 99.4% and Lakeland Gateway to College Collegiate saw a 95.2% graduation rate for the last school year. Swimming Towards a Great Recovery!
Ridgway, a baby bottlenose dolphin that was rescued beneath Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach last year, is making a swimmingly good recovery at SeaWorld Orlando. The youngster recently hit a significant recovery milestone and was moved to our dolphin nursery pool after months of rehabilitation and round-the-clock care. Last month, we welcomed Dutch, a critically endangered great hammerhead shark, to our 700,000-gallon aquarium in Orlando.
