A new decade-long study from our partners at the Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute reveals that bottlenose dolphins in the northern Indian River Lagoon maintain a connection with their mother well beyond weaning and form preferred relationships with siblings and individuals they associated with as calves. Dolphin-itely Improving: Rescued Bottlenose Dolphin Making Strides at SeaWorld Orlando
A baby Bottlenose dolphin that was rescued from a crab trap line entanglement near Clearwater Beach, FL is on his way to recovery after several weeks of care at SeaWorld Orlando. Initially rescued by Clearwater Marine Aquarium specialists, the dolphin was transported to our critical care facility.
