This week, two Florida Chamber-backed growth management bills passed their committees.
SB 1190, sponsored by Sen. Miguel Diaz de la Portilla (R- Miami), and HB 1361, sponsored by Rep. Mike La Rosa (R- Saint Cloud), both passed their first committee stops with bipartisan support.
Under these bills, approved construction plans may change in size without having to go through another approval process. This will ensure that developers can continue with valuable construction efforts without unnecessary regulatory roadblocks.
We commend Sen. Diaz de la Portilla and Rep. La Rosa for their continued efforts make Florida more competitive.
