On the latest Florida Chamber Bottom Line, we sat down with Jacob Williams, General Manager and CEO of the Florida Municipal Power Agency to discuss the importance of energy and how it not only fuels Florida’s homes but helps fuel Florida’s economic development.
“Energy is vitally important to the state of Florida,” said Williams. “There are 32 municipal electric utilities in the state of Florida and they provide electricity to three million Floridians – that’s about 15 percent of the state.”
The conversation continues by highlighting the need for a skilled workforce and addresses the lack of linemen within the industry.
