ORLANDO, Fla. (November 21, 2024)– The Florida Chamber Foundation invites business leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to the attend the 2024 Florida Transportation, Growth & Infrastructure Solution Summit in person or virtually on December 3, 2024, at the JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa. This event will address the infrastructure solutions necessary to support Florida’s rapid population growth, economic expansion, and long-term prosperity.
Florida is on track to grow by 2.8 million residents by 2030, adding 2.5 million more drivers and welcoming 40 million additional visitors annually. This growth brings opportunities to innovate and challenges to overcome as Florida prepares to maintain its competitive edge in the global economy.
“Florida is one of the fastest-growing states in the nation, and our infrastructure must evolve to meet the demands of our expanding population and local businesses,” said Mark Wilson, President of the Florida Chamber of Commerce & Foundation. “This event presents a significant opportunity for industry leaders and policymakers to unite in identifying the policies and investments needed to secure Florida’s future as a global economic leader.”
Secretary Jared W. Perdue, P.E., of the Florida Department of Transportation, will highlight FDOT’s forward-thinking strategies during his keynote. “Florida’s longstanding position as a top global economy is the direct result of strong state leadership, high-quality transportation infrastructure, continued investments in innovative technology, and the development of a robust workforce to deliver the needs of the state’s communities,” said Florida Department of Transportation Secretary Jared W. Perdue, P.E. “FDOT is proud to work alongside the Florida Chamber and industry professionals from across the state to build upon these efforts to keep Florida’s place as a national and global leader in transportation.”
