The Florida Legislature this week advanced Florida Chamber-backed legislation that will create a more efficient and effective early learning system.
A quality early education is essential for a child’s development, and the Florida Chamber has long-supported ensuring that Florida’s future talent has the skills they need for future success.
Thanks to Representatives Vance Aloupis and Erin Grall in the House and Senator Gayle Harrell in the Senate, legislation that continues to improve on the quality, quantity and effectiveness of VPK services for Florida’s early learners is making progress.
HB 1013 and SB 1688 will:
• Expand accountability and assessment requirements for VPK providers, and
• Provide families with more information about the quality of VPK providers.
