Tampa Electric Donates to Agencies to Support Recovery after Hurricane Helene

Tampa, Fla. Sept. 30, 2024

After Hurricane Helene left historic destruction through West Central Florida, Tampa Electric today announced a significant donation from shareholder funds to support customers’ recovery from the storm’s devastating impact.

“We understand that the needs of the community extend far beyond restoring power,” said Archie Collins, president and chief executive officer of Tampa Electric. “Hurricane Helene caused more severe flooding than any storm in Tampa Electric’s history, and we are committed to supporting our customers during this difficult period of recovery and rebuilding.”

Tampa Electric is donating $250,000 to aid the community:
