Tell Senators to Reject Burdensome Mandates

This afternoon the Florida Senate Commerce and Tourism Committee will be taking up legislation that will require job creators to offer paid sick leave if they have more than 10 employees, and unpaid sick leave if there are 10 employees or less.

Contact your Senators now to tell them to vote no on SB 294.

The Florida Chamber believes that attempts to mandate the contents of employer-offered benefit packages to include paid sick leave are an intrusion on a decision best left up to the job creator. This legislation directly interferes with the employer-to-employee relationship, and will have a negative impact on a company’s bottom line.
