Florida Chamber of Commerce Endorses Ana Maria Rodriguez In Senate District 39 Race
TALLAHASSEE, FL (July 14, 2020) – The Florida Chamber of Commerce is uniting Florida’s business community for good, and today endorsed Ana Maria Rodriguez in the Senate District 39 race to replace term-limited Senator Anitere Flores.
Ana Maria Rodriguez has a solid track record of supporting lawsuit abuse reforms, while also fighting back against job-killing regulations, and has earned a 97 percent “A” on the Florida Chamber’s 2020 Legislative Report Card.
“Rep. Rodriguez has been an advocate for Florida business and is committed to Florida’s free enterprise principles,” said Mark Wilson, President and CEO, Florida Chamber of Commerce. “She is the type of leader who will help relaunch Florida and continue a prosperous trajectory for our state.”
The latest Florida Chamber statewide poll of likely Florida voters shows that 71 percent support COVID-19 liability protections for businesses that are working hard to protect the health and safety of employees and customers, and they believe the Florida Legislature should pass legislation to provide these safe harbors for job creators.
“Rodriguez is the only candidate for Senate District 39 who has exhibited the leadership necessary to advance these types of commonsense, pro-business efforts,” added Nick Catroppo, Vice President of Political Operations, Florida Chamber of Commerce.
The Florida Chamber is proud to support Ana Maria Rodriguez, putting its full 100-plus years of combined political experience behind getting her elected.
“I’m honored to be endorsed by the Florida Chamber of Commerce. As a leading advocate for Florida businesses, their voice helps maintain legislative focus on creating policy that supports economic growth and a strong job market,” said Rep. Ana Maria Rodriguez. “They will be especially helpful as we look to assist our businesses and workers rebound from economic turmoil created by COVID-19. I am grateful for their support and look forward to continuing our partnership to ensure that Florida is the best state to live in, run a business, work, and retire.”
